Job Description:
The Merchandise Accounts Analyst is responsible for managing a portfolio of vendor accounts to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of open invoices, shortage disputes, and proof of delivery issues. This role is critical to verifying the physical receipt of products, ensuring inventory accuracy, and processing vendor payments efficiently. The position works closely with store teams and supply chain partners to resolve discrepancies and maintain financial integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and reconcile open vendor invoices against purchase orders and store inventory records
• Investigate product shortages and verify proof of delivery documentation
• Communicate with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies
• Ensure accurate adjustments to store inventory systems based on verified product receipt
• Maintain organized documentation for audit and compliance purposes
• Use Microsoft Excel and Outlook for data tracking and communication
• Support continuous improvement efforts for reconciliation processes
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree required (preferred fields: Business, Finance, or Accounting)
• 0–1 year of experience in finance, accounting, or retail operations (internships or coursework may apply)
Special Requirements:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Must be able to work onsite in a collaborative team environment
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated and results-driven
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Effective communicator and team collaborator
• Basic understanding of inventory management and invoice processes
Additional Desired Characteristics:
