Job Description:
Koscom is seeking experienced Fiber Installation Technicians to join our growing team in Rock Springs, Wyoming.
Experience is required!
Technicians receive $85 per completed installation, $100 per fiber drop when required, and a $125 daily per diem.
Approximately 90% of drops are already prepared, and technicians can expect to complete 5–7 installs per day.
Responsibilities:
Perform FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and broadband installations in residential settings.
Install and route fiber drop cables for aerial and underground applications.
Mount, configure, and activate ONTs, routers, and Wi-Fi equipment.
Conduct signal testing, troubleshooting, and service verification.
Complete service calls, repairs, and work-order documentation accurately.
Adhere to all safety standards, quality guidelines, and company procedures.
Provide professional customer service and explain equipment operation to customers.
Requirements:
Own van, minivan, or pickup truck capable of carrying a 28-ft ladder with a ladder rack.
Prior fiber technician experience (required).
Valid driver’s license and Social Security Number.
iPhone or iPad for receiving and managing work orders.
Conversational English (additional languages are a plus).
Ability to pass a drug test and background check.
Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, including a 28-ft ladder.
