SKILLS

Tasks:
Plan, organize, direct and evaluate daily restaurant operations.
Develop budgets, monitor revenues and control food, beverage, labour and operating costs to maintain profitability.
Recruit, train and supervise employees, assign duties and prepare work schedules.
Conduct performance reviews and coach staff on food quality, portion control and service standards.
Balance cash, reconcile sales transactions and complete cash reports, deposit records and related financial forms.
Manage inventory, purchasing, storage and stock rotation to maintain supplies and minimize waste.
Negotiate pricing and delivery arrangements with approved food, beverage and supply vendors.
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, workplace safety and Ontario liquor requirements.
Resolve customer complaints and maintain consistent customer service standards.
Participate in marketing plans and implement local promotions to increase restaurant sales.
Negotiate and coordinate catering arrangements, group bookings and special events, where offered.
