Employment Terms: Full-time, Permanent
Wage: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours of Work: 40–60 hours per week. The schedule varies and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and extended hours as required.
Work Location: SE 3-45-2-W5, near Bluffton, Alberta (Rural Area)
Staff accommodation available.
Job Duties
• Coordinate and supervise the daily activities of farm workers.
• Organize and assign tasks to ensure efficient farm operations.
• Monitor the health and condition of livestock and identify health concerns.
• Handle and care for cattle, including feeding and watering activities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
• Maintain livestock performance, production, and financial records.
• Supervise breeding and other livestock-related programs.
• Select livestock for sale and monitor herd performance.
• Operate and oversee the maintenance of farm machinery and equipment.
• Hire, train, and supervise farm employees.
• Ensure compliance with farm policies, animal welfare standards, and workplace safety requirements.
Employment Requirements
Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
Experience: 1–2 years of relevant farm supervisory experience.
