Farm Operation Supervisor Job

Job Purpose
Under the general direction of the Greenhouse Manager, the Farm Operation supervisors perform some or all the following duties: Co-ordinate, assign and supervise the work of general farm workers. Inspect and organize workplace and operation area.

Job Requirements

• Co-ordinate, assign and supervise the work of general farm workers.
• Supervise maintenance of infrastructure, equipment, and supplies.
• Perform inventory check of farm equipment and supplies.
• Perform workplace inspection related to work operation and general safety.
• Supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
• Supervise and report workers performance, workers quality and task efficiency.
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of workers while they perform duties such as spray, twist, and prune, picking, packing, and so forth.
• Establish work schedules and procedure.
• Co-ordinate activities with other work units.
• Resolve work-related issues and problems.
• Prepare and submit progress and relative reports.
• Train workers in job duties such as: twist and prune, picking, packing and company policies.
• Requisition supplies and materials.
• Competent with integrated pest management compliance.
• Adhere to and the environmental, health & safety policies of the Company.
• Follow the Company policies to help create a safe, healthy, and positive working environment for all staff.
• May be required to perform the same duties as workers supervised.
• 2 years’ experience per the above preferred.
