Job Description:
The Farm Manager at Hansen Malvin Enterprises Ltd. will lead and oversee the daily operations of our agricultural facilities in Richmond. This role is a blend of traditional agricultural management and strategic project oversight. The successful candidate will support the Owner by directing all farming activities, managing the development of farm infrastructure. The qualified candidate is expected to work 40 hours per week with an annual salary of $83,200.
Key Responsibilities
• Determine the varieties and quantities of crops to be grown; organize and coordinate the full production cycle from planting and cultivation to harvesting.
• Establish and lead marketing programs for various business streams, including "U-pick" operations and the farm’s restaurant services to maximize revenue.
• Develop and maintain meticulous production and financial records; analyze sales data and activity performance to report findings to the owners.
• Supervise the construction and maintenance of essential farm infrastructure, including greenhouses, storage facilities, on-site transportation, exhibition areas, worker dormitories, and administrative offices.
• Authorize the purchase of farm machinery, seed, feed, and specialized equipment required for both farming and infrastructure projects.
• Implement maintenance schedule for all farm machinery, technical equipment, and physical buildings to ensure operational safety and longevity.
• Responsible for HR management , including hiring, training, and supervising farm personnel and contractors.
• Collect and analyze data regarding crop performance and equipment efficiency to enhance the farm’s environmental and economic sustainability.

Job Requirements:
Education:
- A college diploma is required for this position.
Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of management experience is required, including at least 1 year specifically in a farm supervisor role.
- Having basic knowledge about infrastructure in farms is required.
