Family Support Provider Job

The Family Support Provider will develop a support system for parents of children with serious emotional disorders.

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position working Monday-Friday. Some evenings are required.

Responsibilities Include:

• Assist and coach family to increase their knowledge and awareness of the child's needs


• Assist the family in building helpful relationships with child and family team members


• Link family with support groups and other community resources


• Provide helpful materials such as videos, books, articles or Internet address


• Provide moral support during crisis and other critical periods


• Assist family with preparations for meetings


• Participate in other activities as defined by the treatment team and family


• Appropriately submit required documentation; progress notes completed collaboratively, within 24 hours


• Participate in the development of individualized service plans that wrap services around the family needs


• Work collaboratively with the IHS and is given direction by the CPRC Youth Supervisor


• Driving is an essential function of this position

  High School/GED required
  


• Must be a family member with a child who has been or currently has a behavioral or emotional disorder


• Missouri resident for at least two (2) years required


• Must complete and pass the FSP Relias training and DBH FSP training, and obtain a Family Support Provider certification within 6 months of hire date


• A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
