Job Description:
Help patients build healthy habits and improve their lifestyle Order lab tests, X-rays, and other tests to decide the right treatment Work with other doctors and healthcare staff to care for patients Prescribe and give medicines and treatments Give vaccines to prevent diseases Take part in healthcare planning and improvement activities Provide prenatal, delivery, and postnatal care when required Give health advice and explain treatment options to patients Supervise clinic staff when needed Report births, deaths, and contagious diseases to government authorities Support and speak for patients’ needs and rights Manage and coordinate patients’ primary care Provide counselling and support to patients and their families

Work Setting- Clinic
Education: Degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine or optometry
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Credentials College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC) Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities Medical Council of Canada Qualifying Examination (MCCQE I and MCCQE II)
Income Potential: $250,000 – $350,000/year (Fee-for-service or per-patient model)
Expected hours: 30 to 35 hours per week
