Job Details: Our clinics in Edmonton, Alberta requires full-time Family Physicians to join their supportive Family Practice for both in office and virtual appointments. Physicians interested in a team-based and patient-centric approach to healthcare would be most suitable. The incoming physician will have the support of a team and excellent administrative staff where some duties can be delegated. Clinic hours are currently variable with weekend and after-hour shifts available, and there could be some evenings and weekends. Candidates with schedule flexibility would be ideal. Duties will include.
• Examine patients and take their histories, order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures and consult with other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health.
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments;
• Provide emergency care;
• Provide acute care management;
• Vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases;
• Advise patients and their families on health care including health promotion, disease, illness and accident prevention;
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues;
• Perform patient advocacy role; and
• Co-ordinate or manage primary patient care.
Payment structure is via Fee for Service, with overhead costs and rate to be discussed with interested candidates. The range of potential annual earnings is $178,213-$327,151 this is a fee for service position.

Requirements:
• Postgraduate training from Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia or USA
• Eligible for certification by the College of Family Physicians Canada (CFPC)
• College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta | CPSA
• Graduation from an approved medical school and two to three years of family medicine residency training are required.
