Job Requirements:
Responsibilities
Conduct physical examinations and assess patient health conditions
Collect medical histories from patients and other sources
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures
Prescribe and administer appropriate medications and treatments
Provide acute and chronic care management
Inoculate and vaccinate patients against diseases
Offer health counseling and education to patients and families
Perform minor surgical procedures
Refer patients to medical specialists or other healthcare providers when necessary
Supervise medical support staff and maintain patient records
Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems and telemedicine tools
Report births, deaths, and notifiable diseases to provincial authorities
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree or equivalent
Completion of a residency training program in Family Medicine
Licensed (or eligible for licensure) by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
Certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CCFP)
Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC)
Experience
2 to less than 3 years of relevant clinical experience
Work Environment
On-site role (no remote work option)
