Job Description:
Perform routine inspections of building systems, showroom displays, workshop and fabrication areas, warehouse aisles, slab storage racks, entrances, exits and loading areas to identify maintenance needs and unsafe conditions.
Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems within the scope of general building maintenance.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing of building equipment, doors, lighting, shelving, workstations, fixtures and other facility components according to established schedules.
Contact and coordinate qualified tradespersons for major repairs, specialized maintenance work and licensed trade work.
Perform routine maintenance work such as painting, drywall repair, minor carpentry, fixture replacement and general facility upkeep.
Maintain clear and safe access around stone slabs, fabrication equipment, material-handling areas, showroom walkways and loading zones.
Maintain tools, maintenance equipment, repair supplies and facility materials in safe working condition and orderly storage.
Maintain inventory records for maintenance supplies, replacement parts and equipment, and notify management when additional approved materials are required.
Respond to maintenance requests from staff, management and building occupants in a timely and professional manner.
Assist qualified electricians, plumbers, mechanics, carpenters and other skilled tradespersons during repair or maintenance work.
Ensure safety and security measures are in place, including basic checks of entrances, exits, work areas and facility access points.
Move furniture, equipment and supplies safely when required for maintenance, repairs or facility organization.
Clean work areas and remove maintenance-related dust, slurry residue, scraps and debris after repair or maintenance activities, in accordance with workplace safety procedures.
Support facility readiness for customer visits by maintaining showroom fixtures, display areas and general presentation.
Maintain maintenance logs, repair records, preventive-maintenance schedules, inspection notes and supply records.

Job Requirements:
Education: Secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
Experience: At least 2 years of related building maintenance, facility maintenance or minor repair experience.
Language: English.
Industry experience: Experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, warehouse or industrial facility is considered an asset.
Knowledge and safety: Ability to follow workplace safety procedures and work safely around stone slabs, fabrication equipment and material-handling equipment.
Personal suitability: Dependable, organized, reliable, accurate, safety-conscious and team-oriented; able to use sound judgement and work with minimal supervision.
Physical capabilities: Able to stand for extended periods; bend, crouch and kneel; safely lift and move materials or equipment up to 50 lb when required; and work in a physically demanding, fast-paced environment.
Experience: At least 2 years of related building maintenance, facility maintenance or minor repair experience.
Language: English.
