Fabricator Job

This position is responsible for the operation of various types of machines such as laser, brake press, machining centers, etc. Conducts required quality checks and interprets production work orders.

Essential Functions:

• Operate production machines and equipment following safe and accepted practices.


• Operate material handling equipment such as overhead hoists and cranes.


• Perform minor maintenance on machines and equipment including lubrication, cleaning, adjustments and minor maintenance checks.


• Machine set-ups as required for different job runs.


• Accurately report daily activities on work orders and other media as required.


• Meet established production standards.


• Interpret and use production work orders / product router special instructions.


• Conduct required quality checks using defined measurement equipment.


• Exercise safe work habits while operating machines. Keep machines and work areas clean and free of safety hazards.


• Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System.


• Follow all work instructions / training guides and control plans.


• Maintain regular attendance.

Qualifications / Training / Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED required


• One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment. highly preferred


• Read blueprints


• Follow written and verbal instructions


• Ability to obtain a fork truck license


• Possess basic math skills


• Skills in numeric and visual recall


• Computer skills

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.


• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.


• Ability to work in sometimes extreme temperatures.
