Duties:
• Operating cutting machines in a safe and efficient manner
• Following all Health & Safety rules and protocols
• Responsible for spreading, marking and cutting fabric
• Prioritizing cutting according to the needs of the production team
• Effectively and efficiently meeting deadlines set by team
• Compiling and storing fabrics in an organized manner
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Developing and maintaining strong working relationships
• Conducting quality control checks
• Taking measurements and cutting fabrics accordingly
• Preparing templates for new designs of outdoor furniture including but not limited to sofas, custom chair covers and umbrellas
• Design cutting for items such as umbrellas
• Stitching fabrics for the purposes of sofa and umbrella production
• Making fabric items such as pillow covers
• Placing patterns on top of layers of fabric and cutting fabric using electronic or manual knives, cutters or computer numerically controlled (CNC) cutting devices
• Adjusting cutting style technique to type of fabric and style of item

• Secondary school is required
• 4+ Years of experience with Electric knives or cutters
• Excellent eye-hand coordination and dexterity
• Capable of independent work and teamwork
• Able to read a tape measure accurately and is detail oriented
• Possesses excellent math skills
• Physically fit, with ability to stand, bend, crouch and lift while carrying objects of varying weights
• Is a team player with a cooperative attitude
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly with measurements and precise cuts
• Comfortable working in a noisy work environment
• Ability to stand for an extensive amount of time
• Able to complete frequent lifting tasks – up to 50lbs
• Frequent bending and twisting of body to complete cutting tasks is required
