Location: Schiller Park,IL Schedule: 1st shift (approximately 5:30am−4:30pm Monday−Friday. Occasional weekend work required. Department: Food Safety & Quality Assurance
About the Role
The QA Technician supports daily food safety and quality operations by performing product inspections, monitoring critical control points, conducting tests, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Perform quality checks on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
· Conduct swabbing, environmental monitoring, and basic microbiological testing.
· Verify HACCP/Preventive Controls monitoring records for accuracy and completeness.
· Calibrate, operate, and maintain QA testing equipment.
· Hold and release products as necessary; perform non-conformance investigations.
· Support internal audits, GMP inspections, and corrective action follow-ups.
· Document findings legibly and accurately in QA systems.
· Communicate quality concerns to production leadership promptly.
Qualifications
· Bilingual. Can speak and write in both English and Spanish.
· High school diploma required; associate degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
· Prior experience in QA/QC within food manufacturing preferred but not required for entry-level candidates.
· Understanding of GMPs, HACCP principles, and food safety fundamentals.
