Exercise Physiologist Job

Exercise Physiologist is needed to perform the following duties :

● Develop and implement individualized exercise programs for patients with chronic diseases (e.g., cardiovascular, pulmonary, metabolic, and musculoskeletal conditions) to improve patient outcomes, physical function, and quality of life.
● Conduct advanced physiological assessments, including cardiopulmonary exercise testing (CPET), stress testing, VO₂ max, ECG monitoring, body composition analysis, and metabolic measurements.
● Interpret assessment data to diagnose functional limitations and recommend targeted interventions, working collaboratively with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
● Supervise and monitor exercise sessions in clinical and fitness settings, ensuring patient safety and compliance with exercise prescriptions and medical guidelines.
● Utilize specialized equipment and software to track and analyze patient progress, including heart rate monitors, metabolic carts, EKG machines, and electronic health record systems.
● Educate patients and clients on disease prevention, lifestyle modification, exercise safety, nutrition, and long-term wellness strategies.
● Contribute to program development and research, including designing clinical studies, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting in the publication of findings in peer-reviewed journals.
● Provide mentorship or guidance to junior staff or interns, sharing advanced knowledge in clinical exercise physiology and evidence-based practice.
● Maintain professional certification and comply with legal and ethical standards, including HIPAA compliance and continuing education in exercise physiology or related fields
● Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, providing expert insight into exercise-based rehabilitation and chronic disease management plans.
● Advising and preparing the patient and family about in-home treatment options and exercises before discharge from physical therapy.

● Maintains patient confidence and protects medical record by keeping information confidential

Bachelor’s degree is required in Exercise Science or Physical Therapy or Exercise Physiology or Physiotherapy
