Position Details:

Position: Excavator Operator
Number of Positions: 1
Term of Employment: Full-time; Permanent
Wage: $37.00 per hour
Work Location: Various Locations in in Vancouver, Lower Mainland and Greater Vancouver (BC) areas as per company’s work contracts with its customers.
Position responsibilities:
• Operate excavators to perform earth-moving, trenching, grading, backfilling, and material handling activities on construction and work sites.
• Review site plans, grade stakes, utility markings, and verbal instructions to carry out excavation work safely and accurately.
• Excavate trenches for utilities, foundations, drainage systems, and pipelines while ensuring proper depth, alignment, and slope.
• Load, move, and distribute soil, gravel, rocks, debris, and other materials using excavator attachments such as buckets.
• Perform routine pre-operation inspections of the excavator, including checking fluid levels, controls, and safety devices.
• Follow safety procedures and site regulations to prevent damage or accidents
Position Requirements:
• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a one- to two-year apprenticeship program or equivalent experience or industry courses in heavy equipment operating.
• Ability to communicate in English is required
