Location: Job sites in Central & Southeast Ohio and Bethel Park, PA area.
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 5:30/6 PM. Overtime available. Weekend work is rare.
Compensation: $28 - $30/hr, with flexibility based on experience and ability to perform labor duties. Overtime/OT pay. Bonus opportunities based on annual company-wide performance.

Excavator Operator Job Summary:

Excavator Operator Role Responsibilities:
Operate Heavy Equipment:
Operate excavators (primarily smaller sized) with a focus on in-town distribution work in tight spaces near other utilities ( natural gas, water mains, etc.).
Willingness to do non-excavation work as needed.
Inspect Equipment:
Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections, complete daily mobile equipment reports, and maintain accurate documentation.
Ensure equipment performance by checking fluid levels, adding correct fluids as necessary, and assisting in performing minor maintenance tasks.
Demonstrate knowledge of equipment by checking and maintaining all fluid levels and lubrication.
Perform Road Maintenance:
Operate a variety of vehicles and large heavy equipment, focusing on maintenance and repairs on roads and rights-of-way. This includes loading, hauling, and dumping on various surfaces.
Load gravel, dirt, and sand; smooth and grade roads; and spread rock and gravel.
Installation:
Construct excavations for the installation of natural gas pipeline, electric conduit, water and sewer pipeline.

1+ years of experience as an excavator operator on utility distribution projects. Must have experience digging around utility gas lines, water mains, etc.
Must have experience operating mini excavators.
Must pass MVR (including no DUIs in previous 3 years).
Ability to use personal vehicles for commuting to job sites as required.
Execute excavation projects according to plans and specifications.
Complete development and training as required.
Physical capability to handle excavation tasks.
Commitment to safety and adherence to OSHA standards.
Excavator Operator Preferred Requirements:
OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
No CDLA required but is a plus.
