Excavator Foreman Job

Position: Excavator Foreman (NOC 72021)
Number of job vacancy: 2
Working Hours: 40hrs per week
Work Shift: It can be daytime, evening, weekends and/or holidays
Wage: $38 per hour ($57 per hour for overtime)
Benefit: Dental insurance, Extended medical insurance upon completion of 3 months of probation

Main duties:

• Supervise, co-ordinate and the schedule the activities of excavator operators
• Establish methods to meet work schedules and co-ordinate work activities with other project supervisors or managers
• Requisition materials and supplies
• Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
• Train or arrange for training of workers
• Comply with applicable regulations and occupational health and safety regulations
• Maintain daily logs, inspection logs and other necessary paperwork
• Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics
• Other duties as required

Employment Requirements:

• Several years experience as operating excavators with a civil crew
• Must be able to adhere to the highest standards of safety and quality
• Willing and able to work in severe weather conditions while prioritizing safety
• Effective communication skills
• A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and good character
• Reliable and able to work both independently and as a team player
• A valid driver’s license is required along with a reliable vehicle for travel to various worksite locations
