Estimator Job

Anning Johnson Company in Mukilteo, WA is looking for Estimators. Qualified candidates will be responsible for analyzing, estimating and planning drywall, ceiling and fireproofing construction scopes of commercial buildings; Preparing project work scopes, cost estimates, estimating drywall, schedules, studies, reports, calculations, contractor bids and technical bid evaluations for the Improvement projects using OST, QB, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, SmartBid, Primavera, and MS Projects; Estimating and creating cost proposals for change orders during the construction phase; Analyzing framing details for drywalls and ceilings in order to establish appropriate cost estimates; Estimating fireproofing scopes for medical offices, commercial spaces and technical offices; Analyzing and reviewing blueprints and providing feedback on the blueprints; Completing quantity takeoffs and requesting quotes from vendors and sub- contractors; Preparing drywalls estimates on multimillion dollar commercial projects; Preparing engineering plans using various engineering software, such as Bluebeam, Primavera, PlanGrid, and/or Smartbid; Conducting feasibility assessments and site inspections; Creating submittal packages; Analyzing and modifying estimates based on LEED green building codes and ratings; Preparing calculation packages in order to determine cost estimates; Attending pre-construction meetings to solve issues prior to the start of construction; Monitoring construction and financial activities to ensure proper project completion in accordance with previously provided estimates; Researching and providing estimates for the projects and modifying the estimates throughout the project lifecycle based upon change requests and issues arising during construction; Analyzing, reviewing and implementing project plans; and documenting cost estimates for the project as required by the project. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or foreign degree equivalent in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and two years’ experience in position or two years’ experience in Construction Engineering field; and Experience with estimating drywall, OST, QB, Bluebeam, PlanGrid, SmartBid, Primavera and MS Projects. Up to 35% travel required to client sites within commuting distance of the company’s Mukilteo, WA office. Benefits: PTO, ins and 401(k). Salary: $103,000.00 to $120,000.00/year.
