Estimator Job

Skills: 3-5 years of homebuilding project/construction management, Bluebeam, estimating and cost management
Qualifications:
In this role, you will be supporting the Purchasing and Estimating Team in the calculation of material quantity requirements, gathering and preparing routine estimating data and compiling data for use in bid proposal estimates.

Responsibilities
Conceptual and detail estimates for projects of varying size and complexity, including materials price lists, labor costs and equipment.
Research prior estimating data (purchase orders, subcontracts, productivity analysis reports, etc.) and compile summary reports to develop guidelines and precedents for future estimates.
Communicate and deliver estimate and preferred/pre-defined subcontractors to project management team for final buyouts.
Have a working knowledge of material unit costs, systems square foot costs and total building square foot costs.
Work closely with project management and project development teams
Keep current on changes and trends in methods of construction and materials, construction costs, wage rates, fringes and working rules.
Self-motivated, team player, cooperative, industrious

Qualifications
3-5 years of homebuilding project/construction management or comparable industry is required
Proven written and verbal communication abilities; strong planning, problem solving skills; proficient using computer applications, specifically Microsoft Office products, Bluebeam.
Experience with estimating and cost management is a plus
