Job Description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Escrow Manager to oversee escrow operations and ensure all transactions are executed in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. This role is critical in managing funds and documentation related to real estate closings and property transfers. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in escrow services. Job Requirements:
Manage daily operations of the escrow department, ensuring timely and accurate closings.
Oversee escrow officers and support staff, providing guidance and performance evaluations.
Ensure all escrow files are in compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Review contracts, titles, and closing documents for accuracy and completeness.
Coordinate with lenders, buyers, sellers, title companies, and real estate agents.
Resolve complex escrow issues and provide expertise in interpreting policies and legal documents.
Monitor and report on financial transactions, including disbursements and escrow fund balances.
Maintain current knowledge of escrow laws, regulations, and best practices.
Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Provide training and mentorship to new and existing staff.
Serve as a point of contact for audits and regulatory reviews.
Prepare regular reports on department performance and transaction volume.
Ensure all security and confidentiality standards are upheld throughout all transactions.
Experience & Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in escrow operations with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Strong understanding of real estate transactions, escrow processes, and title procedures.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Proficient in escrow software systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and compliance skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of applicable state and federal escrow regulations.
Certified Escrow Officer designation preferred (depending on state requirements).
