Job Description:
Design and optimization of advanced wastewater treatment system (30%)
1. Design and implement an advanced wastewater treatment system, optimizing processes such as Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) and Biological Nutrient Removal processes
2. Conduct in-depth simulations and mass analyses to optimize system efficiency
3. Evaluate and select advanced oxidation reagents for the successful treatment of wastewater from semiconductor manufacturing plants so that the waste level is compliant with environmental standards
4. Lead pilot testing and scale up of water reclamation technologies
5. Optimize energy consumption of pumps and chemical processing systems without harming yield
6. Use real-time online sensors (pH, ORP, TOC, Conductivity) to come up with real-time monitoring systems for optimal water treatment
7. Evaluate semiconductor processes and chemicals on wastewater, analyze wastewater characteristics from various treatment processes, and design specifically tailored procedures to treat such wastewater characteristics
8. Oversee process optimization strategies and improve operational efficiency to reduce operational expenditure
9. Establish and manage systematic operational indicators for MBR systems to achieve consistent high-quality performance
10. Manage UF systems and IX systems to remove contaminants
Conduct regular maintenance procedures to ensure safe and reliable operations (40%)
11. Operate and maintain bioreactors, ultrafiltration, and reverse osmosis systems, ensuring stable operational procedures
12. Supervise and train junior engineers and technicians in treatment system operations and troubleshoot possible faults
13. Oversee sludge dewatering, stabilization, and disposal as fit with industry requirements
14. Maintain accurate operational logs, chemical usage, and convert treatment results into data
15. Conduct routine inspection of treatment equipment and ensure a safe, reliable, and efficient operating system
16. Troubleshoot issues when they arise, implement corrective measures, and prevent possible disruptions in the process
17. Conduct no-load/full-load tests for pumps and organize test documentation on a regular basis to minimize possible faults within the operating system
18. Inspect MCC panels and local control panel systems on a regular basis and identify any anticipated faults
19. Manage control system vendors such as the SCADA System and perform logic checks
20. Conduct loop checks on automatic valves and resolve any issues that arise
Ensure compliance, maintain safety, foster collaboration, and perform reporting (30%)
21. Monitor and optimize chemical treatment strategies to maintain water quality standards that are compliant with regulations and environmental standards
22. Perform root-cause analysis to identify system deviations, failures, or other unprecedented events
23. Analyze processed water for contaminants such as heavy metals, ammonia, and other contaminants
24. Review data to prepare the environmental impact assessment report
25. Collaborate with other process engineers to integrate implemented wastewater treatment strategies into operations
26. Develop and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and manuals for process control for wastewater operations
27. Conduct risk management in handling and storing chemicals, and conduct regular emergency drills based on emergency scenarios
28. Evaluate and ensure all treatment systems comply with ISO 14001, SEMI S2, and other local environmental standards
29. Ensure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage and develop safety protocols
30. Support long-term sustainability initiatives and oversee BIO systems for effective COD/BOD reduction
