Engineering Manager – Continuous Improvement Job

We are currently searching for an Engineering Manager – Continuous Improvement to join our Team. The duties for this position are as follows (but not limited to):
· Assists the Chief Engineer with the general oversight of the Department
· Plans, manages and controls execution of technical projects in all phases
· Assists with design, inspection, installation and testing of company’s equipment
· Devises strategies to proactively address challenges, ensures meeting deadlines and objectives
· Develops and implements policies and high-quality standards for the engineering work in an efficient manner
· Provides technical guidance to help staff make informed decisions
· Interviews prospective employees and supports professional growth of personnel through coaching, training, and career development plans

The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent
· Superior knowledge of equipment and processes for industrial baking
· At least 4 years of related experience with project management duties
· Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) by a provincial or territorial association of professional engineers is an asset
· Strong time management capability, attention to detail, ability to work independently and as a team player

BENEFITS AND SALARY
· Permanent, full-time position
· Start date: as soon as possible
· 6-month probation period
· $61.54 per hour for 30-40 hours per week
· Overtime may be required and will be paid at 1.5 of your regular hourly rate after 44 hours per week
· 3 weeks of paid vacation
· Eligibility for enrolment in the company health and benefit program, effective immediately from your start date
