Engineering Director Job

An Engineering Director is needed in Valley, Alabama.

• Direct and coordinate engineering activities supporting the logistics and distribution of chemical raw materials, including Glass Mat Thermoplastic (GMT) and Polypropylene (PP), for automotive manufacturing clients.
• Develop and implement engineering policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards related to material handling and transportation.
• Plan and manage projects involving the installation, maintenance, and improvement of technical systems and infrastructure used in warehousing and logistics operations.
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and customer requirements to plan and assess the feasibility of projects aligned with business objectives.
• Review and approve engineering designs, documentation, and project specifications to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technical staff, including recruitment, training, task assignment, and performance evaluation.
• Coordinate with senior management, internal teams, and external stakeholders to align engineering plans with operational goals and customer needs.
• Prepare budgets, authorize expenditures, and monitor project progress to ensure cost-effective use of resources in all engineering-related initiatives.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology and 5 years of managerial experience in automotive parts manufacturing industry.
