Hendrickson USA, L.L.C. - Engineer I - Woodridge, IL.
Coordinate technical design and test aspects of a project and component design utilizing the Product Planning and Development Procedure. Design and validate various spring systems, including mono-leaf, multi-leaf, parabolic taper, composite, and hybrid springs, using proprietary software. Create and execute test plans, including validation on specialized rigs such as Break-Windup, Half-suspension, and Full-suspension. Perform FEA with Ansys and CAD modeling with Siemens NX to optimize designs. Test and analyze physical and thermal properties of composite materials using lab equipment such as DSC machines and heat furnaces. Coordinate technical design and test aspects with suppliers and customers, and support manufacturing by ensuring production readiness. Interface with CAD, FEA, laboratory personnel, and other departments; and manage project timelines with suppliers and customers. Provide continuous improvement through process optimization and elimination of waste. 5% domestic and international travel.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related required. University coursework must have included at least one course in each of the following: Mechanics of Materials; Measurement and Control Systems.
6 months of experience as Engineering Intern or related required. Experience must have included exposure to CAD software. Experience must have included exposure to FEA. Experience must have included exposure to validation tests and simulations.
