Emergency Medical Technician Job

~Respond promptly to calls, providing essential medical care on-site and en route to healthcare facilities
~Assess patient conditions through thorough physical examinations and vital signs monitoring
~Administer basic life support (BLS), medication, injections, and airway management techniques following established protocols.
~Perform patient assessments, including triage, to prioritize care based on severity and urgency
~Manage airway patency, aseptic techniques with precision and professionalism
~Operate emergency vehicles safely, adhering to traffic laws and driving standards while handling heavy lifting and physical demands.
~Document detailed patient care reports accurately, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment provided for legal and medical records.
~Collaborate with facility staff during ensuring seamless communication and patient stability.

Duties

Qualifications

Valid EMT certification with current licensure in good standing; additional certifications in critical care transport or hospital experience are highly desirable
Proven experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or emergency room settings with a focus on patient care and physiology knowledge
Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and DME (durable medical equipment) use
Skilled in airway management, medication administration, and injection techniques
Demonstrated ability to perform physical examinations and vital signs assessment accurately under pressure
Experience in triage procedures
Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely; physically capable of heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or walking
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to remain calm and focused during stressful situations
