Requirements

• Completion of secondary education is required
• Completion of related program or equivalent experience
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures

Responsibilities

• Review and understand drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring configurations for new or existing installations
• Conduct electrical wiring for well-functioning lighting, intercom, and various home automation components.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and standards during installation.
• Install power outlets, switches, and other electrical components needed for automation systems.
• Install safety and distribution components such as switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels.
• Conduct tests to verify compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repairs.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with electrical and electronic systems, CCTV, and home cinema setups.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on faulty components or systems and keep maintenance records.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
