Tasks
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in both residential and commercial settings, including but not limited to wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, lighting fixtures, and service panels, ensuring all installations meet code and functional requirements.
- Interpret and analyze electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine the precise layout and requirements of electrical systems for various renovation and construction projects.
- Conduct thorough inspections of electrical components such as transformers, panels, circuit breakers, and wiring to identify potential hazards, defects, or deficiencies, and recommend necessary corrective actions.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in malfunctioning systems using advanced test instruments and hand tools to accurately locate the root cause of electrical faults and implement effective solutions.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on electrical infrastructure to ensure systems remain compliant, safe, and fully operational, thereby reducing the risk of unplanned outages or hazards.
- Strictly adhere to all provincial electrical codes, workplace safety regulations, and internal company policies while performing installations, repairs, or modifications to ensure full legal compliance and safe working conditions. Collaborate effectively with general contractors, project managers, HVAC technicians, plumbers, and other tradespeople to coordinate tasks, resolve project challenges, and ensure timely project delivery.
- Provide accurate cost and time estimates for assigned electrical work, including installation, upgrades, and maintenance, supporting budgeting and project planning efforts.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date records of all electrical work performed, including service reports, materials used, testing results, and safety checklists, to support project documentation and compliance audits. Ensure that all tasks are completed to the company’s high standards for quality, efficiency, and safety, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the organization.
