We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment within our cedar mill. This role is critical to ensuring our operations run smoothly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components in the mill.
• Diagnose electrical problems and perform necessary repairs.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with local, provincial, and federal codes.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Collaborate with other maintenance staff to ensure seamless operation of the mill.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical work performed.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Completion of secondary school is required.
• Proven track record of success in an Electrician role, or completion of over four years apprenticeship program is an asset.
• Trade certification for electricians is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and safety practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform tasks that may require climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
