Job Description:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
In the performance of his job the incumbent will encounter: reading, writing, load computations, lifting, pulling, overhead lifting and pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, the use of power trucks, lifts and hand trucks.
Must be able to locate, diagnose and repair malfunctions in the electrical systems of equipment using approved electrical practices and electrical diagnostic equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical portions of plant equipment.
• Install or repair electrical equipment such as; generators, transformers switch boards, breaker boxes, circuit breakers, controllers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, lights and ballasts, or other transmission equipment.
• Work from blue prints, drawings, wire diagrams, schematics, or other specifications in completion of assigned duties.
• Be able to locate, diagnose, and repair malfunctions in the electrical system of equipment.
• Must be able to completely use a variety of electronics, hand tools, measuring equipment and testing equipment in the performance of his job.
• Do standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Ensure that all work is in accordance with relevant National Electrical Codes.
Experience Required:
Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years of electronic troubleshooting experience and preferably formal training in repair of electronic equipment.
