Title of the Position: Electrical Engineering Technologist

Main duties:
• Design and develop power equipment and systems
• Install equipment
• Interpret blueprints or other instructions to plan methods or sequences of operation
• Read blueprints or other instructions to determine work requirements
• Service equipment
• Supervise the building and testing of prototypes
• Test power equipment and systems
• Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
• Write specifications
• Carry out applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics
• Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems
• Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies and systems
• Promote sales to existing clients
• Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
• Train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment
• Assess client’s needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services
• All other relevant tasks

Terms of Employment: Permanent Full Time (35 hrs per week)

Language of Work: English

Wage: $34.50/hour

Location of Work: 6380 Tomken Road suite 3, Mississauga, ON L5T 1Y4

• At least 3 years of relevant experience working on Industrial Control Automation Systems, preferably in the manufacturing environment;
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required;
• Attention to detail, fast paced environment and work under pressure.
