Upper Crust is seeking experienced Electrical Engineering Technicians to support the operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and optimization of industrial electrical and automation systems used in high-volume bakery manufacturing operations. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining reliable and efficient production processes while minimizing equipment downtime and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist in the installation, testing, calibration, and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair automated production machinery, conveyors, packaging systems, sensors, motor controls, and electrical components
• Support operation and maintenance of PLC-controlled equipment, HMI systems, and industrial automation controls
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems and production equipment
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals
• Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and testing of electrical systems and industrial control equipment
• Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend technical improvements to increase reliability and operational efficiency
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures, electrical standards, and food manufacturing regulations
• Maintain service records, maintenance reports, and technical documentation
• Assist in preparing maintenance schedules, technical reports, equipment specifications, work plans, and project documentation
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support daily manufacturing operations
Requirements of Position:
• High School Diploma
• Post-secondary education in electrical or electronics engineering technology, or a related technical discipline is considered a strong asset
• Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, automation, or manufacturing environments
• Strong skills in PLC systems, industrial controls, sensors, motor drives, and automated production equipment
Compensation & Conditions:
• $36 per hour
• Minimum 30-hour work week
• Overtime pay will apply after 44 hours of work per week
• Benefits: Group Medical and Dental Plan.
