Location: East Coast (NJ, PA, NC, SC, GA, etc.) – Multiple sites
Client: Major Utility Company

Type: Full-Time or Contract

Role Summary
Looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer experienced in plant and utility electrical systems. Candidates with exposure to paper, plastics, or industrial manufacturing environments are highly preferred. This role focuses on ensuring electrical reliability, energy optimization, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, troubleshoot, and upgrade plant electrical systems and distribution networks.
Support control system interfaces, power management, and energy monitoring.
Prepare electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings.
Coordinate installation and maintenance of electrical equipment.
Conduct electrical safety assessments and compliance checks (NFPA 70E, NEC).
Required Skills
7+ years of electrical engineering experience in utilities or manufacturing.
Strong understanding of power systems (480V/600V), MCCs, VFDs, and transformers.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN.
Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and PLC interface support.
Nice-to-Have
Knowledge of automation systems (PLC/SCADA) integration.
Familiarity with arc flash studies and grounding systems.
PE license or equivalent certification preferred.
