Job Description:
The employee will work as an Electrical Engineer specializing in industrial power distribution systems within the electric vehicle (EV) battery manufacturing industry. The primary responsibility involves the design of electrical busway systems, which are modular power distribution systems used to deliver high-capacity electrical power efficiently and safely across large-scale manufacturing facilities.
The Key duties include:
[1] Designing the complete electrical busway system using AutoCAD program, Autodesk Revit program, Excel, and PowerPoint for the Hyundai SK Battery Plant, an EV battery manufacturing facility located in Kingston, Georgia. The process includes planning system layout, determining routing, and specifying technical components. Conducting load analysis and system capacity evaluations to ensure stable power delivery to high-demand manufacturing equipment such as battery cell production lines and automated machinery. Selecting appropriate materials and components with consideration of environmental factors, regulatory compliance, safety standards, cost efficiency, and maintenance requirements;
[2] Recommending design modifications and system improvements to enhance energy efficiency and comply with U.S. electrical safety regulations (e.g., NEC, OSHA). Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams—including mechanical, civil, and structural engineers—to ensure seamless integration of the electrical system with the overall plant infrastructure;
[3] Inspect electric busway system construction progress and ensure conformance to design specifications;
[4] Coordinate activities concerning manufacture, construction, installation, maintenance, operation, and modification of busduct products;
[5] Report to project manager and managing director from Korea;
[6] Confer with engineers of Hyundai SK Battery plaint to discuss existing projects and products; and etc.
