We are seeking an experienced Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technologist to join our team and contribute to the development and execution of UAV-based powerline inspection projects.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the project lead to design and optimize UAV power supply, communication, and control systems, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
• Develop and test UAV electrical and electronic components, including microcontrollers, power supplies, and communication modules to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee the development and testing of UAV prototypes to meet operational and safety standards, ensuring compliance with established specifications and protocols.
• Develop high-voltage operation manuals for UAV-based transmission line inspections and guide team members on safe handling and operational protocols.
• Oversee the installation and setup of UAV systems, including power supply modules, communication interfaces, and control hardware, ensuring all components function as intended.
• Assist in identifying and diagnosing transmission line module defects, documenting and labeling issues for future reference.
• Test and analyze electrical and electronic components and systems to diagnose performance issues and implement corrective actions to ensure system reliability.
• Document findings from research and testing and prepare detailed reports for project progress within the time and budget plan.

Qualifications:
• A College Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology or a related field is required.
• 3-5 years of experience in electrical and electronic system design, testing, and maintenance.
• Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting electronic testing systems and diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with high-voltage systems and their application in transmission line inspections.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage project timelines and work under pressure.
