Responsibilities
Tasks
-Move tools, equipment, and other materials
-Help tradespersons, apprentices, and other workers as directed
-Clean machines and immediate work areas
-Wind, assemble, and install various types of coils
-Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear
-Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance
-Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment
-Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components
-Perform static or dynamic balancing of armatures or rotors
