Job Description:
We are a busy family seeking a compassionate and reliable Home Support Worker to provide care for our 75-year-old mother who is experiencing knee pain and requires daily support at home.
Position: Elder Caregiver and Household Assistant (NOC 44100)
Terms of Employment: Full-time (30 to 35 hours per week)
Hourly Wage: $21
Expected Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Calgary, AB, Canada T3G 3X8 (Free parking available)
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide companionship and light assistance with daily routines
• Ensure the elder comfort and safety throughout the day
• Support with simple tasks such as serving meals, warming food, or tidying elder’s space
• Accompany her on short walks (if needed).
• Prepare dinner for the family (including the elder).
• Light housekeeping such as cleaning the kitchen, vacuuming, and organizing common areas
• Laundry and occasional ironing
• Grocery shopping or running errands (optional, depending on arrangement)
Position Requirements and Qualifications:
• Completion of college program of 1 year to 2 years in a related field OR high school diploma but with equivalent work experience
• At least 7 months work experience in home support job or caregiving position.
• Chinese language as a strong asset
• No Criminal and medical issues
• Exceptional patience and relable
• Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, and standing
