Early Intervention Instructional Assistant:
Catawissa, PA

Full-time position available in our Early Intervention early childhood program with children ages 3-4. This position works in the located at the GC Hartman Elementary School, Catawissa, PA.

Hourly rate is $13.00 – 19.50 hour depending on qualifications working 7.5 hours per day over 185 days per year over a 12-month schedule. This is a non-exempt position offering excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options.

Education and skills required include:
• A high school diploma or equivalent General Education Diploma (GED). Additionally, the attainment of the Para-Educator Competency Assessment Checklist or the Child Development Associate (CDA) is required within 90 school days of employment which results in additional compensation to hourly wage when requirements are met.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to accept great cultural diversity;
• Flexibility to accommodate a changing caseload;
• Ability to cope with stressful situations and a professional attitude are required.
