Position: Early Childhood Supervisor
Hourly Wage: $37.00
Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Benefits: Vacation Pay 4% of gross salary

Education: College/CEGEP
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Work setting: Child care centre / Urban area
Responsibilities
• Design and carry out child-care programs that foster children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth.
• Oversee and support staff members, trainees, and volunteers.
• Organize and lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and educational outings to
community locations.
• Manage the procurement of supplies and equipment.
• Promote creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities.
• Support children in developing healthy eating, dressing, and toileting habits.
• Monitor children for potential learning or behavioural concerns and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
• Participate in staff meetings to review children’s progress and address any concerns.
• Set and reinforce appropriate behavioural expectations.
• Build and maintain cooperative relationships with colleagues and community partners serving children.
• Create and sustain a safe, healthy, and secure environment for children.
• Direct and coordinate the work of early childhood educators and educational assistants.
Supervision: 3-4 people
Credentials: Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
