Early Childhood Educators Job

Ocean Rain International Daycare Center Inc. in Victoria, B.C., is looking for two (2) Early Childhood Educators (ECE) to join the team.
Permanent, full-time; $29.00-$30.00 per hour ($6 enhancement included); 35 hours per week. Benefits include: Annual bonus is available for based on the performance assessment, eligibility for 2 paid Pro-D days in August each year and 10% discount childcare programs, 15 days paid vacation.

Duties:

• Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children;
• Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest;
• Provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity;
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits;
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor;
• Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members;
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers.

Qualifications:

• Completion of Early Childhood Educator Certificate program which allows practice in BC is required;
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate in B.C;
• Criminal Record Check is required;
• English Language ability is required.
