Job Description:
Sandbox Early Learning is located 9648 128th Street, Surrey, BC V3T 2X9. We are currently looking for permanent, full time Early Childhood Educators (ECE). If you are interested, please submit your resume by e-mail.
Position: Early Childhood Educator (ECE)
Wage: CAD$20.00/hour (plus $6/hr. govt. wage enhancement)
Types: Full-time, Permanent
Working hours: 30~ 40 hours/week
Benefits: 4% of vacation pay, Health benefits
Job Duties:
• Plan, carry out, assess programs to promote children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, social development;
• Lead activities though stories, songs, and visits to local places and help children express themselves through using activities and tools;
• Observe and assess children’s growth, interests, needs, and development and discuss with parents;
• Observe any signs of children’s potential learning/behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents;
• Maintain the children’s environment safe, healthy and secure;
• Supervise children’s play, ensuring their physical safety at all times;
• Guide and assist children with daily routines such as toileting, dressing, eating, and sleeping;
• Guide children’s behavior and social development;
• Maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and child community service providers;
• Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of a two-to four –year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree in child development;
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate to practice in BC
• Experience in child care asset.
