Job Description:
As an Early Childhood Educator you will be responsible for nurturing the development of children aged 6 weeks to 5 years in a safe, engaging environment. Your primary role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities that support cognitive, social, emotional, and physical growth.
Daily responsibilities include creating lesson plans aligned with early learning standards, preparing educational materials, and organizing both indoor and outdoor activities. You will lead circle time, reading sessions, arts and crafts, music and movement activities, and guide children through both structured learning and free play.
The position requires maintaining detailed observations of each child's development, documenting progress, and communicating with parents through daily reports and regular updates. You will manage classroom routines including meals, rest periods, and transitions between activities.
You will also ensure classroom cleanliness, organize learning centers, and maintain educational equipment. This role involves collaborating with fellow educators to create a cohesive, supportive learning community for our children and families.
We're looking for someone who:
Holds Saskatchewan ECE certification (Level I, II, or III)
Has experience working with children aged 6 weeks to 6 years old
Demonstrates strong communication skills with children and parents
Can plan and implement age-appropriate activities
Works well in a team environment
Has current First Aid/CPR certification
Has passed a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
Responsibilities:
Tasks: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children.
Lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs and taking children to local points of interest.
Encourage children to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity.
Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toileting habits.
Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioural problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor.
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children.

Education and Certification
Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
Provincial certification/license in early childhood education
Current CPR and First Aid certification
Food handler's certification (preferred)
Experience
Minimum of 1-2 years experience working with children in a licensed childcare or educational setting
Experience implementing developmentally appropriate curricula
Knowledge of state early learning guidelines and quality standards
Technical Skills
Proficiency in child development observation and assessment techniques
Ability to use digital documentation and parent communication platforms
Basic computer literacy for record-keeping and curriculum planning
