Ocean Rain International Daycare is a centre which offers a variety of childcare programs including infant/toddler daycare, age of 3-5 daycare, morning preschool, after-school care, Day Camps and many performing art classes/workshops.

Job Details
Position: Early Childhood Educator (NOC-42202)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 30-40 hours per week
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Salary: $36.60 per hour
Work Location: 1038 Hillside Ave, Victoria, BC V8T 2A5

Qualifications
-Minimum 1 year of experience working in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with children aged 0–5 years;
-Completion of an early childhood education Diploma program is required;
-Possession of a valid BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate is required;
-ECE-IT AND ECE-SN certification is required;
-Valid First Aid and CPR certification is required;
-Criminal Record Check clearance is required;
-Minimum of two professional references is required;
-Strong English language proficiency is required.

Responsibilities
-Develop and implement childcare programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children, primarily aged 0–3 years;
-Lead activities such as storytelling, reading, singing, and creative play;
-Provide opportunities for children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activities;
-Plan and maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive learning environment;
-Assess children’s abilities, interests, and needs, and discuss progress with parents and colleagues;
-Observe children for signs of learning or behavioural challenges and prepare reports when necessary;
-Guide children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toileting habits;
-Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with coworkers and community service providers;
-Supervise and coordinate the activities of ECE assistants when required.
