 Wage: $27.07 per hour
 Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
 Vacation: remuneration - 4% of gross salary

Job Requirements:
Job Duties:
- Provide care for children 18 months and up in an art-rich, play-based environment that
nurtures creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning.​
- Lead age-appropriate, open-ended art experiences and hands-on activities that inspire
imagination, self-expression, and skill development across all domains.​
- Create a warm, inclusive classroom where children feel safe to explore, take risks, and
learn through art, play, and daily routines.​
- Observe each child’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development and adjust
activities to follow their interests and developmental needs.​
- Support daily rhythms such as meals, toileting, hygiene, and rest times in a calm,
respectful way that promotes children’s independence and well-being.​
- Set up and maintain inviting learning spaces, art stations, and materials; ensure the
classroom is clean, organized, and aligned with health and safety standards.​
- Build positive relationships with families by sharing updates about children’s learning,
artwork, and milestones, and by welcoming family engagement in the program.​
- Work collaboratively with the educator team to plan and reflect on the Art-Rich
Emergent Curriculum so that programming remains engaging, responsive, and high
quality.

- Nova Scotia Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
