Position: early childhood educator (ECE)
Work Location: 235 Newport drive, Port Moody, BC V3H 5C9
Wage: C$20-24 Per hour
Term: Permanent employment, Full time
Language: English
Working hours:35 to 40 hours per week

Tasks
- Create and administer child-care programs that encourage the whole development of children's physical, cognitive, emotional, and social health.
- Engage in storytelling.
- Guide activities using a variety of approaches, such as telling tales, teaching songs, and taking youngsters on expeditions.
- Encourage youngsters to express their creativity and determination via art, theatrical play, music, and physical activities.
- Instruct and help youngsters in forming good life practices.
- Observe children for potential learning or behavioural concerns, then make reports for parents and supervisors.
- Be conversant with child-care licensing requirements.
- Set suitable behavioural norms for youngsters.
- Develop and maintain positive cooperative connections with colleagues and community service providers who deal with children.
- Plan and manage a safe and healthy environment for children.
