Job Title: Early Childhood Educator(ECE)

Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time
Start Date: ASAP
Number of Openings: 2
Hours of work: 30 – 40 hours per week
Wage: $ 38.4 per hour
Benefit: 10 days paid vacation or 4% vacation fee remuneration
*Job Duties*
- Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
- Maintain and update the individual record of children handled taking note of the program’s positive and negative results.
- Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and hygiene habits.
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and community service providers working with children.
- Regularly communicate with parents and guardians regarding their children’s development needs and learning process.
- Lead age-appropriate activities such as storytelling, singing, crafts, and local outings for children.
- Observe children’s development and behaviour and identify any learning or behavioural concerns.
- Prepare and submit written observations regarding children’s progress and behaviour to educators or supervisors.
- Participate in staff meetings to discuss children’s progress, concerns, and appropriate support.
- Follow applicable childcare licensing requirements and regulations.
*Job Requirements*
Education: A two- to four-year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor’s degree in child development is required for this role.
Experience: 1-2 years of related experience is required.
License: Early Childhood Educator License required.
-First Aid and CPR Certification is required.
-Criminal record check, immunization records
