Inspirations Montessori School is a licensed facility, we are a daycare for children from 30 months to school age. We provide a loving, caring, friendly, safely environment for your child. We are looking for an Early Childhood Educator to join our team.

Position: Early Childhood Educator
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hourly Wage: $26.00- $27.00 (Depends on qualification and work experience)
Working Hours: 30 hours per week
Working Location:  5232 Irmin St, Burnaby, BC V5J 1Y6
Benefits: 4% Vacation Pay

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and carry out learning activities for children that can help develop a passion for learning and provide opportunities to encourage expressing creativity through different ways

Maintain and provide a loving, caring, friendly, safely environment for children

Lead children in activities in reading and Storytime, preparing materials and for recreational activities

Guide and assist children in eating, dressing and potty training

Along with observing the interests, needs, and abilities of children, regularly communicate to the child's parents to keep parent updated with their children’s development

Observe, gather and prepare report for parents/guardians or manager of any learning problems or behavior issues
Lead in the staff meeting, discuss progress and development of children

Encourage and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers, children and parents

Qualification:

Completion of a college program in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree in child development is required

BC Valid Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate is required

Previous work experience as an ECE is an asset

A clear medical exam check and vulnerable sector check

Ability to work in a team and self-motivated

Detail oriented, energetic, and work with repetitive tasks
