Early Childhood Educator Assistant Job

1. Assist and support Early Childhood Education Workers in planning and implementing learning activities for children that can help develop a passion for learning and prepare children academically and socially;
2. Assist Early Childhood Education Workers in leading children in activities in reading, writing, dance, and story time, preparing materials and equipment for educational and recreational activities;
3. Assist children with daily routines such as proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits;
4. Write reports to Early Childhood Education Workers based on observing and recording the development of children;
5. Set up rooms, equipment, materials, and furniture prior to activities including snack, lunch, and nap time;
6. Clean and maintain rooms, equipment, materials, and furniture and assist in keeping a stable and clean environment for children’s use.

1. Completion of secondary school is required
2. Completion of an Early Childhood Education Assistant certificate program or post-secondary courses in early childhood education may be required
3. Ability to work in a team and be self-motivated
