Job Description:
Armstrong Montessori Academy is seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. The successful candidate will plan, organize and implement programs for children that promotes their emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate early childhood education programs that support children’s physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
• Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment in accordance with licensing regulations and health and safety standards.
• Observe and assess children’s development, document progress, and communicate regularly with parents and team members.
• Guide children’s behavior using positive reinforcement and support the development of independence and self-regulation skills.
• Organize and lead activities such as storytelling, music, art, and outdoor play to promote learning through play.
• Ensure daily routines are followed, including meals, rest periods, hygiene, and transitions.
• Maintain accurate records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental
observations.
• Apply Montessori principles and methods to enhance individualized learning and promote childled exploration.

Job Requirements:
• Completion of a college program in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree in child
development is required.
• Valid Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certificate in British Columbia.
• Minimum one year of experience working with young children in an educational or care setting.
• Experience with Montessori methods is an asset.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
