Armstrong Montessori Academy is seeking dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Educator Assistants to join our team. The successful candidate will support early childhood educators in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children that promotes their emotional, physical, social, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver child-care programs that encourage children’s physical, intellectual, emotional, and social growth

Facilitate engaging activities such as storytelling, singing, field trips, and creative expression through art, drama, music, and physical play

Create and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment for children

Evaluate children’s skills, interests, and developmental needs and communicate regularly with parents and colleagues about their progress or concerns

Monitor children for potential developmental or behavioral challenges and prepare documentation for parents, guardians, or supervisors

Support children in learning appropriate self-care routines, including eating, dressing, and using the toilet

Build strong, cooperative relationships with fellow staff and community organizations involved in child development

Organize programs and activities for school-aged children during before- and after-school care

Oversee and manage the work of other early childhood educators and assistants.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of a two- to four-year college program in early childhood education or a bachelor's degree in child development is required.
• Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) certificate in British Columbia.
• Minimum 6 months of experience working with young children in an educational or care setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification is preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
